One of the chronic illnesses that continue to affect the Filipino community is Tuberculosis. This debilitating disease require months of treatment and compliance remain to be a problem since patients are subjected to take several medication and its side effects for a period of time. To ensure increase compliance, WLJF initiated a project that TB patients will receive health teaching and periodic check up. While side effects are being address by providing nutritional assistance in the form of milk, eggs and multivitamin supplementations. WLJF will also provide chest X-Rays after treatment to ensure that there is no disease progression after treatment.
