Stress relief orientation and exercise are introduced by WLJFI and Reiki Wellness volunteers to several evacuation site at Kidapawan and Makilala barangay affected by earthquake. The main focus are the children and was design to reduce the initial distress cause by the trauma from the earthquake.
More than 16 barangays affected by the multiple earthquakes received medical- dental and optical treatment initiated by WLJFI and partnered groups. Hygiene and sanitary disposal of body waste was highlighted in education of evacuees to prevent epidemics in the campsite.
WLJFI providers started the feeding program and distribution of relief goods to all the hard hit areas in Kidapawan City and neighboring town of Makilala, North Cotabato. As a first responder, they able to continuously feed the people although the area are almost non passable due to landslide. They able to feed 400 to 500 families daily for 2 months.
A total of 140 patients from barangay Luayon, Makilala North Cotabato, the epicenter of earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 received free healthcare and 179 children was served with hot meals. The area was hit again with magnitude 6.6 and 6.5 on October 29 and 31. The area was considered as non livable and “no mans land” subsequently due to whole area was covered by a landslide debris.
Due to the high morbidity and mortality from dengue fever, WLJFI in cooperation of the local law enforcement group start a clean up drive by fumigation in the neighborhood, and removal of garbage and silt from the river thru dredging.
A total of 1268 students receive the donated items. The program continue as an annual activity with the goal of increasing the attendance and boosting the school children’s affinity to education.
After 3 months of waiting, 250 students will use and dine formally in newly constructed cafeteria. The goal of this project is to reduce and eliminate the malnutrition, school absences. and promote sanitary and hygienic preparation of nutritious food.
The WLJFI Medical Clinic Is expected to open to the public by July 2020 offering free medical- dental treatment. The facility will also be used by Tebow Cure Hospital as a hub for the treatment of children with lower extremity deformities. The Rotary Club Of Mt. Apo will also use the facility for the screening and treatment of patient suffering from hearing loss.
WLJFI launch the program with the goal of awareness to sexuality and proper hygiene. An expert was invited to speak and lecture about the program. The introduction was widely accepted and will be initiated to other school in the area.
A total of 275 students received a free eye examination and fitting of corrected lens in one day event held in about 6 elementary school.
A total of six patients with cleft lip and palate underwent surgical procedure for the repair and rehabilitation from their defects. This project is under the partnership with maxilo- facial surgeon from Manila and with local doctors for the purpose of continuing education. The project is totally supported financially by WLJFI.
A total of 2666 patients was seen and examined by 20 medical doctors and allied medicine in two days. All patients received free examination, diagnostic testing and treatment. All patients and accompanying relative received free meal and transportation during the course of the program.
WLJFI continue to do the screening and testing thru urinalysis of all the school children in Kidapawan City. The objective of this program is to detect early sign of kidney disease among vulnerable school children. The intervention for the children showing positive signs of disease are also supported by the WLJFI which includes but not limited to the follow up and treatment of the kidney disease.
One hundred forty patients was seen and examined by the optical group. Patients will be receiving free reading and corrective lens which was customly fitted by the opticians. The glasses will be expected to be distributed to the patients after 5 working days.
Meohao Elementary School will be third recipient of WLJF school cafeteria. The construction of the building will start and expected to be completed by October 2019. Almost 300 school children will be utilizing the facility where in hot meals will be provided the entire school year.
Boxes of church materials, garments and supplies was endorsed to Fr. Jun Balatero to be use by the Lady of Mediatrix and All Grace cathedral. This was made possible by The Sisters of St. Louis located at Woodland Hills , California. However thru the good heart of Fr. Jun, he wants all the blessing to be shared by other neighboring church.
Thirteen WLJF scholars graduated for the school year 2018- 2019 with high scholastic records. The graduates completed the four year bachelor degree. The degres where from Elementary Education, Business Administration, Criminology, Information Technology and in Nursing. WLJF will also provide financial assistance for their board licensure examination.
A total of four hundred sixty four kids and few adults received free circumcision thru the collaboration of WLJF and Kidapawan City Health Office. The two days event served the entire city population and the neighboring barangay. The minor operation was free and the patient also received free antibiotics and pain medications. Hot meals was also so served to the patients and their accompanying adults.

Three hundred twelve patients with several illnesses was seen and treated last April 8, 2019. The patients are from clustered barangay of Junction, Kalaisan, Macebolig, Sumbac, Amazion and Magsaysay.while the event was held at barangay Kalaisan. All patients received check ups, treated and given medications for their illness.
Twenty five wheelchairs and ten walkers are distributed by WLJF staff to the elderlies and people with disabilities.
More than 100 patients from the Gasa Sa Gugma received care packs, groceries, multi vitamins and supplements. The patients was also served with hot meals coming from Jollibee.
A medical- dental mission seeing 374 patients at clustered barangay in northern side of Kidapawan city and held at Barangay San Isidro.
A free prenatal check up including laboratory works, ultrasound and dental check ups. Distributions of pregnancy kits was also completed. A whole year prenatal multivitamins was also given free to all pregnant mother.
Since 2015, WLJF celebrate the Christmas with our indigenous brothers and sisters who mostly at the foot of Mt. Apo area. It becomes a tradition that all kids from our adopted school received their hand wrapped specially selected toys or Christmas gift. Food were catered by a fast food chain Jollibee and all the goodies were hand carried by US based volunteers.
The Buntis Caravan and Kit Distribution was designed to eliminate maternal- neonatal mortality and morbidity during the course of pregnancy. At least four prenatal visit was targeted and completed at the rural area. The visit includes vital sign and check up with the obstetrician, distribution of 365 days of prenatal multivitamin, vaccination, urinalysis, blood typing, complete blood count, hepatitis B testing, syphilis test, blood glucose testing and ultrasound test.
