Datu Igwas Elemetary School is located at the foot of Mt. Apo and not easily accessible by ordinary vehicle. A good number of students have to cross a river that flood easily during the rainy season. There were instances that the students nearly drown from the swollen river while tiptoeing at the rocks. WLJF constructed the hanging bridge to prevent such occurrence.
