Puasinda was affected by the severe drought for several months, where planting of any kind was next to impossible. Water was also so rare that there is now a water rationing implemented by the city. The rationed water is only use for drinking, while the water from the river is use for cooking, washing and bathe. WLJI rehabilitated an old water pump in the area and restored like new. The water from this pump is now being use for their daily needs. The school also benefited on the ample supply of water that the feeding program was not interrupted.
